www.woltersworld.com One of the biggest pains in the butt and wallet when going to London is getting to and from the airports. There are many to chose from. The main international carriers use either Heathrow or Gatwick. Both are easily connected by Express trains like the Heathrow Express and Gatwick Express. These are more expensive than local and tube services. If you are using Heathrow you are better off taking the tube into the city as the Heathrow Express goes to a not well connected train station and the saved time in taking the express will only be lost when you then have to transfer from the station. Getting from Luton and Stanstead which are the main hubs for cheap airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet can be time consuming. Luton has a direct train line into London, but it does take time and can be a bit pricey. Stanstead’s train service will cost you more than your Ryanair flight, so check details and realize you may save money by flying British Airlines or another main carrier into Heathrow. Good luck and have a safe trip!
